Precision Electrical & Air has successfully completed the installation of dual air conditioning systems at a residential property in Tarragindi. This project involved both the provision and installation of a Daikin ducted system on the upper level and a Daikin high-wall split system situated in the downstairs living area.

Thorough Installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW Ducted Air Conditioning System

Precision Electrical & Air conducted a detailed installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was expertly positioned in the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall, utilising rubber feet for enhanced stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were meticulously concealed within the ductwork as they exited from the ceiling.

To ensure efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were installed from the indoor unit and safety tray, directing water to the external gutter. This comprehensive installation involved the precise placement of ducting, branch take-offs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also installed in the upstairs hallway to optimise airflow within the system.

An independent electrical sub-circuit was created, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, and included an NHP isolation switch conveniently located next to the condenser. A MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed in the upstairs hallway, allowing intuitive temperature control directly linked to the zone motors.

In the downstairs living area, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with meticulous care. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were incorporated to connect the indoor and outdoor units, with the condenser mounted on rubber feet to ensure stability during operation.

A dedicated electrical circuit was established from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, which included an NHP isolation switch for enhanced safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was placed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, facilitating effective drainage. After installation, the system underwent thorough commissioning to guarantee optimal performance.
